| Founded in Honolulu in 1904, The Gas Company (TGC) is dedicated to providing clean, reliable and efficient gas service to residents and businesses throughout Hawaii.
We are committed to Hawaii’s clean energy future by using renewable sources to “green” the gas energy stream, reduce our carbon footprint and decrease the need for imported petroleum. Our new BioGas plant uses renewable feedstock to generate gas, and we are partnering to deliver hydrogen from our manufacturing process to power transportation and other fuel uses. Through these initiatives, TGC intends to grow the renewable/sustainable portion of our gas up to 50% by 2015. |
